1. Overview
Still is operated by 1601684 B.C. LTD. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and provides a personalized wisdom, verse, wallpaper, and reflection experience for iPhone. Still does not require you to create an account to use its core experience. Instead, the app creates a random installation identifier so it can remember preferences and provide the right content to the same installation.
2. Information we handle
Information created when you use Still
- Installation identifier: a randomly generated ID stored securely on your device and used as the app’s service identifier.
- Preferences and personalization: selected wisdom categories, traditions, reminder style, timing, visual preferences, notification settings, and onboarding completion state. Raw onboarding answers and derived personalization tags are stored on your device. Selected content categories are sent to our backend so it can return the requested feed. When you open a reflection, Convex also receives the selected quote, attribution, category and available source details. Your private narrative or detailed onboarding answers are not included in that reflection request.
- App activity: saved favorites, wallpapers or quotes shown, timestamps, and limited engagement information stored on your device and, where the service feature requires it, under the random installation identifier in Convex to avoid repetition and improve content selection.
- Subscription information: product identifiers, entitlement status, purchase or restoration results, and paywall interactions. Apple processes payment details; Still does not receive your full payment-card number.
Information you choose to provide
If you contact us, we receive the email address and message content you send. A name entered during onboarding is used to personalize the app and is stored on your device; Still does not require a legal name.
Technical information
Our hosting and service providers may process ordinary request information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as IP address, device or app version, request time, and diagnostic data. We use this information for service operation, security, troubleshooting, and reliability—not targeted advertising.
3. Device permissions
- Notifications: used to schedule the reminders you select and route you to the relevant experience. Still’s current reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
- Photo library: used only when you ask Still to save a quote wallpaper or support Photo Shuffle.
- Widget and app-group storage: used to share the selected quote and preferences between the app and Still’s iOS widget.
You can change notification and photo permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Refusing a permission affects only the feature that needs it.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide and personalize quotes, images, reflections, and widgets;
- remember settings, favorites, and recent content;
- manage subscriptions, purchases, and restorations;
- schedule requested reminders and complete requested actions;
- protect the service, enforce limits, and prevent abuse;
- maintain security, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability; and
- respond to support, privacy, or legal requests.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain service data while it is needed to provide Still, maintain subscription records, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Operational backups may persist for a limited period before deletion. Aggregated information that no longer identifies an installation may be kept to understand service performance.
To request access, correction, or deletion, email support@stillwidget.app. The “Privacy or data request” action in the app’s About settings can prepare an email containing the installation reference needed to locate device-linked data. The “Stop personalization & erase data” action clears local personalization data. Server deletion requires verified ownership; an installation reference helps locate data but is not proof of ownership. Check the app’s request status and contact us when verification is needed. We may ask for reasonable verification and may retain information when required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
Deleting the app may leave OS backups, secure installation references, photos you saved and copies you shared. It does not automatically delete server or subscription records. App Store subscriptions must be managed separately through your Apple ID.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, or receive a portable copy of personal information. You may also have the right to complain to a local privacy regulator. Canadian access requests are generally handled within 30 days, subject to applicable exceptions and extensions. Privacy requests can include subscription-related personal information; cancelling a subscription is a separate choice. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Washington consumers can read our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Still is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If local law requires a higher age for independent consent, a parent or guardian must provide any required consent. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information improperly. Before app access, Still asks for an age group and, at age 13, whether the user lives in Quebec. Those answers stay on the device. A 13-year-old in Quebec needs an approval code issued after our privacy team reviews the parent’s or guardian’s authority and consent choices. Optional wellbeing and faith personalization is a separate choice. Guardian contact and review correspondence are handled in our private support records; Convex stores an opaque case reference, hashed code/receipt, consent scope, policy version and dates. These records are not joined to subscription analytics. Codes expire after seven days and app approval after 90 days. A guardian may contact the privacy team to withdraw or review consent; the app also provides a withdrawal action. Revocation is checked online, so an offline device may not receive a remote revocation immediately.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Still changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice when reasonably appropriate.
